About Ursula
I am an Arts and Design teacher, and have been teaching since 2000. I started working in the Tate Gallery to be at the heart of art, whilst doing my teaching Postgraduate course. I have taught in schools in London and Birmingham, and more recently in Warwickshire. I have experience of teaching in all schools from year 3 up to A level. My specialist areas are printing, ceramics and textiles. I have worked alongside teaching freelancing, and with my own creative business working with felt and printed textiles. I have taught in a variety of settings from special needs schools to hospital patients. I work also across all the disciplines of Fine Art, Art History drawing and painting.

I have high expectation for my students. I inspire them by showing artist's work and through the use of techniques which either intrigue or link to their own personal interests. l can teach across all the age ranges, from younger children developing skills to degree level students with critiques and portfolio development. I have worked alongside the OCR exam board. I also aim to work with more mature art students on a drawing and painting, mixed media and specialist skills lessons, developing confidence with learning new techniques and a love for art and design.
