About Veronica
Truthfully, I find that many organic chemistry students get lost in the forest of reaction pathways before they ever see the trees. I spent 6 years refining how to teach mechanism drawing and resonance because these are the foundation for everything else. My work with pre-med students focuses on acidity, elimination reactions, and complex synthesis pathways.
Retrosynthesis often feels like a puzzle to my students, so we break it down methodically. Whether it is alcohols, ethers, carboxylic acids, amines, or mastering IR and mass spectrometry, I keep the process grounded. Most of my work involves students aiming for specific medical paths and the rigorous demands of the MCAT.
