We teach all yogic practices (Kriyas, Chanting, loosening practices, Surya Namaskar, Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation) with dietary modifications and lifestyle tips. We conduct group sessions at evening 6.30 pm. The class is for 1 hour duration. We occasionally conduct special sessions like gazing meditation, chair yoga, cleaning techniques etc. We give personal attention to all. We teach together so that we can correct your postures. Our classes are open to all who wish to be healthy.

Details

1 hour Online class will be for 800 Rs per session. Offline class at student's home will be 1000 per session including travel charge.

Group session online (6.30 pm to 7.30 pm-Mon to fri) will be Rs 2000 per month per person.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    Around 10 years back, I was working in the corporate field. I started getting back pain. My lifestyle was not good. I started to join yoga sessions near my home. The sessions helped to improve my overall health. From there I got inspired to take it up as a profession. I did some short courses and followed them by doing a M.Sc in Yoga from a prestigious S-VYASA University. So, this is how it started.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    My motivation is introducing this precious ancient technique which can help people get their life on track by focussing on health. Somewhere health awareness is lagging back in this fast-paced life filled with stress. Health is wealth. If health is there everything seems good. My motto is to get their physical health on track using asanas, improving their energy by breathing practices, improving their mental health by pranayama, sharpening their intellect by meditation and showing them a different dimension about them by meditation.
  • How does your work help society?

    Yoga is cost effective and has no side effects. It is universal and for all ages. People of all ages including kids or elderly can perform yoga to improve their health rather than been dependant on pills (which have side effects). Yoga is not just physical postures but a lifestyle and calls for diet discipline. Sleep, diet, exercise, lifestyle and stress are five important parameters for holistic health.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    My role models are all self-realized yoga gurus/teachers/souls and schools/shalas who teach yoga without commercializing and retaining the pure ancient tradition with an intention to do welfare for public at large. I have many teachers and all are my role models.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    My hobbies are exploring ancient Indian traditions like Sanskrit, ayurveda, trekking, exploring vegetarian cuisines and visiting new places. I also keep a track on news especially related to yoga and keep myself updated and if required upskill myself.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    I have helped various people deal with their conditions like stroke, diabetes, anxiety, hypertension. One of my students is still associated with me for the last 3 years. When he joined, he had high cholesterol, anxiety, obese, high uric acid level. I had to counsel him, encourage him and convince him to stop junk foods. Now, he is perfectly healthy and all his health parameters are under control. He is very happy now. I have many such stories. Hopefully, I can play a role in your health journey also. 😊
