About Elizabeth
I am a 3rd year Animal science student at the university of reading, but once I've completed y degree i hope to become a Teacher. Before university i spent many hours creating revision videos about GCSE science that I published ( (concealed information) , winning many awards. I also had the honor to speak at several education conferences, and have made a documentary video on education, and how to improve engagement in science.
Experience:
· 2017- STEM Ambassador, visit schools and put on Science Rocks live shows for years 5 & 6 for the past few years which required preparation of a presentation to engage the students with science and encourage them to persuaded science at a higher level.
· 2020-2021- Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) leader for introductory Physiology at Reading University

lessons could either be teaching lessons, where i will try to teach students content if they do not understand it, or revision lessons where i will go over information with students, make sure they understand it, and ask them to do activities such as making PowerPoints and labeling diagrams.
In these sessions i will work with the students to make sure that they fully understand, and i will take as much time with the content the student needs to ensure that they don't just know, but they understand the content.
i also have my own GCSE biology revision notes, which gained me an A* in biology IGCSE, and after either a teaching or revision lesson on the topic i will hand these over, as well as links to applicable videos i have made specific to the days lessons.
i firmly believe that one of the most important things to do if you want people to learn is to get them engaged and excited about the topic, so at every opportunity i will try to make the students excited and interested about the subject, because if the student isn't enjoying themselves i don't believe they will learn effectively. i also don't believe in just setting student's to read material in silence for long periods of time, and so will try to avoid this as i remember my time as a student ( only a few years ago) and i remember why i became passionate about biology.

Details
The travel cost is just for the price of a buss ticket, as i do not have my own car, but if you do not live in an easily accessible area by bus this may have to change.
