About Akiko

I was practising Hatha Yoga from 1991 to 2018. I discovered Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in April 2018, and have been practising it since then; I am practising the Second Series now. I have completed the first Teacher Training (200 hours) in Tokyo in August 2018; RYT200 for Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in the USA in 2021; Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours) and Advanced Yoga Teacher Training (300 hours) in Mysuru India in 2024 and 2025 respectively. Yoga is a very holistic approach. I would like to share my passion for yoga with you.

About the lesson

I can teach Hatha yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (Primary Series), Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama and mantra yoga (chanting practice). I would like to share the beautiful experience through the yoga practice with you! All levels are welcome.

I have known Akiko for many years. She recently gave me my first yoga lessons, which I wanted to try as with some injuries I can no longer do the sort of exercise I used to. Akiko was very knowledgeable, considerate of my limitations, was clear in her instructions and very encouraging.
