About Brienne

I started my career here in Lisbon in 2010, debuting me on stage in a piece of musical theater, and since then had the opportunity to take part in numerous musical theater productions and fiction here in Portugal. Three years ago I decided to open horizons and go to study and work out. It was in Prague, Madrid and London have had the opportunity to work with several companies and develop an interest in the field of education and training of the performing arts. In 2015 I received an offer to go to work as assistant director in the company Prague Youth Theatre, based in Prague. There, I had the opportunity to work with children from 4 to 18 years, in areas such as direction of choreography, music and actors. Within 6 months I collaborated in the assembly of four productions that premiered in June in the direction choreographic and musical was mine. In September of the same year, I had the opportunity to work with the company Interacting Theater Academy, a Scottish company based in Madrid that performs interactive theater plays in schools and offers acting classes in English. Working as an actress, teacher and stage director at the same time in one year, I believe that this experience allowed me to grow a lot as a professional.

About the lesson

• Acting classes in English Given that in Portugal there are many schools or teachers to give drama lessons in English, I found it good bet this idea. We are talking about classes lasting between 1h / 1:30 a.m. for children aged between 5 and 10 years. The main objective would be to learn English in a fun way. With my experience to teach you today I realize that children learn much faster when teaching is related to fun. interactive games in which the child has the opportunity to express themselves creatively and dramatically, musical and choreography moments and readings of books in English, in which the child begins to associate the two languages are my bet for these classes. • Acting classes / musical theater in Portuguese These classes are aimed at creating an environment in which children feel completely free to express themselves. With the help of theater games related to relaxation, the relationship with the group, imagination, observation and concentration, followed by more targeted representation and stage technique exercises, I intend to present to the group a more specific view of what is the "representation" in general. I would also like to add the dimension of the corner, and explore the sung representation, the name "acting through song." This class is suitable for young people aged 8-13 years and have duration of 1 hour and a half. • Singing lessons With these classes intend to focus myself on singing technique. I usually divide this class in three stages, the first will be directed to perform breathing exercises, body and vocal, for a better understanding of the vocal apparatus. Then we move to the voice warming with some music theory exercises and vocalizos the piano. Thirdly is working a theme chosen by the student is usually asked to choose two, one being a musical style that prefer (pop, rock, jazz, classical) and other musical theater. aspects are worked as dynamic, music interpretation and ways to sing it. These classes are usually individual, but can also be done in a group and may have duration of between 1 hour and 1:30 a.m..
