About Maya
Just graduated with an Advanced Bachelor's Degree in History with a minor in Psychology, and I worked as an academic writing tutor for my university for a year and a half before graduating.
I've both taken and tutored for classes in areas like History, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, and more!

As a tutor I like to have students describe their assignment or what they would like to work on to me, and then I'll guide them through how to understand that topic and write about it in a way which will help them to excel in an academic setting. I generally like my appointments to be fairly casual one on one conversations where I can really listen to what students are struggling with and explain to them exactly what has worked for me.
