About Katlyn
You should hire me as an elementary tutor because I am an experienced, caring, and dedicated teacher who understands how to help children build both academic skills and confidence. I have several years of experience teaching 3rd and 4th grade, with a strong background in reading, writing, math, and science.
I know that every child learns differently, so I take the time to understand each student’s individual needs, strengths, and areas for growth. I create engaging, age-appropriate lessons that make learning feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.
As a classroom teacher, I have experience working with a wide range of learning abilities and learning styles. I am patient, encouraging, and committed to celebrating progress—whether that means mastering a difficult math skill, becoming a stronger reader, or simply gaining the confidence to say, “I can do this!”
