About Alice
I tutor because I genuinely love helping people learn. There's something really rewarding about seeing a student go from feeling stuck or unsure to having that moment where it all clicks.
I want to show students that subjects like Chemistry, Biology, and Geography don't have to feel intimidating, learning can actually be enjoyable. I try to bring that enthusiasm into every session, because I think when a student starts to find a subject interesting rather than stressful, everything else follows.
For me, tutoring isn't just about getting through the syllabus. It's about building confidence and showing students that they're more capable than they think.

I focus on building genuine understanding rather than rote learning. Sessions are tailored to each student. I identify where the gaps are, explain concepts clearly with worked examples, then move into guided practice so students can apply skills independently.
For exam preparation I concentrate on technique: structured answers, mark scheme awareness, and past paper practice with targeted feedback.
Sessions are typically 60–120 minutes, flexible to suit the student's needs.
I'm a university student studying Marine Biology with Oceanography, with tutoring experience across Chemistry, Biology, and Geography at GCSE and A-Level. I work with students aged 14–18, from those building foundational confidence to those aiming for top grades.
