About Shivani
I am a dedicated and professional tutor who takes pride in creating a calm, encouraging, and structured learning environment for all my students. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to make lessons both supportive and focused so students feel confident asking questions and improving at their own pace.
My goal is not just to improve marks, but to help students build long-term skills in writing, analysis, and exam technique that they can carry through the rest of high school and beyond.
I maintain clear communication with students (and parents where appropriate), and ensure lessons are organized, purposeful, and tailored to individual needs.

Are you looking for an experienced tutor to help guide you or your child through high school studies?
My tutoring style is supportive, personalized, and focused on helping students genuinely understand how to improve their writing and analytical skills. I begin by identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses, then tailor lessons to help them achieve the marks they’re aiming for — whether that’s building confidence under exam pressure, improving essay structure, or developing more sophisticated analysis.
Having tutored 30+ students, I have experience working with a range of learning styles, confidence levels, and academic goals.
Lessons are usually 1 hour long, with 2-hour lessons available for HSC students. Tutoring is available for Years 7–12 English, including HSC English Advanced, English Extension 1, and English Extension 2, alongside Ancient History and History Extension.
As a 2025 HSC high achiever, I achieved Internal Rank #1 in English Extension 2, History Extension, and Ancient History, alongside Rank #2 in English Extension 1 at Oakhill College.
Having recently completed these courses myself, I understand firsthand both the academic pressure students face and the skills needed to succeed.

Shivani is an exceptional English teacher. Her classes are creative and full of games and practical exercises. My son usually has trouble concentrating, and Shivani has been great in keeping him engaged while learning. Arnav now looks forward to his classes each week.
