About Matthew
I am a 10th grade high school student with a very good understanding of the topics that I have been taught over the years. I’ve always been in the most advanced classes at my school and have preformed very well in school. If there is an opportunity to help someone learn something, then I will do my best to help them understand what they need to in order to learn.

Any time I want to teach someone I will make sure I know what topics they are already familiar with. Once I know that I will do a quick review of what they have previously learned. Anyone I work with may ask questions whenever they want. I try to emphasize that in my lessons. I follow a very simple, but affective, teaching strategy. If a student is struggling to grasp a concept, I will always start from the bottom up. That means that I will make 100 percent sure that the student understands all previous sub-concepts before we work up the learning chain. In other words I like to use baby steps no matter how smart or how intelligent the student is. The best way to learn something is to make sure that there are no miss understood concepts. The reason this is so affective is because once the student understands all smaller concepts, it should only be 1 more baby step to grasp the WHOLE concept.
