Perfect! I had tutoring from October through to May, and in that time my tutor helped me make huge progress in maths. When I first started, I was working at Foundation level and achieved a grade 4, but by the end I was studying Higher Maths and achieved my target grade 6 – something I couldn’t have done without his support.

What I really appreciated was his teaching style. He never just gave me the answers; instead, he made sure I thought about the problem and worked it out myself. This really built my confidence and understanding. When he explained a topic, he didn’t just show how to do it – he explained why it works that way, which made things much clearer.

He was always very patient, which made it much easier to learn, and he was well organised too. He kept track of my strengths and weaknesses and made sure we worked on the areas I struggled with most, while still reinforcing what I was already good at. The lessons were always tailored to my level and my goals, with my target grade in mind at all times.

Overall, he was an excellent tutor – supportive, patient, and effective. Thanks to him, I not only reached my target grade but also gained a much better understanding of maths along the way. He helped me achieve my goal of going to my dream 6th form and being able to study Economics.
