About Eric Rubia
With over a decade of experience as an English tutor, I bring both academic depth and real-world insight to my teaching. As a graduate of English Literature, I am deeply grounded in the rich tradition of the language, from classical texts to contemporary narratives. As an English Language and Literature tutor, my approach is both comprehensive and personalized, designed to nurture confidence, clarity, and creativity in every student. I focus on strengthening core language skills—speaking, grammar, and writing—while fostering a deep appreciation for literature across genres and periods.
In our sessions, students are encouraged to express themselves fluently and thoughtfully. I emphasize oral communication through structured discussion, debate, and presentation techniques that develop clarity of speech, critical thinking, and persuasive language.
Grammar is taught not as a set of rigid rules but as a living system that empowers precise and effective communication. I integrate grammar seamlessly into writing and speaking exercises, allowing students to internalize correct usage through practical application.
Writing is at the heart of my instruction. Whether it's academic essays, creative storytelling, or analytical responses, I guide students in crafting compelling, coherent texts with strong structure, voice, and purpose. Each lesson builds toward mastery of writing as both an expressive and analytical tool.
Alongside language development, I immerse students in the rich landscape of English literature.
