About Edna
Hello! I am a Brazilian Portuguese teacher from São Paulo who would like to believe I am a fun person. I am married to an English man and we have a little daughter. I enjoy crafts, design, meeting people and finding out what brings them joy. As a professional, I have a BA in Portuguese and English, Language and Literature Diploma. I have been teaching for over 17 years. I like to find out more about my students because I understand that everyone learns in a different way. My thesis in university was based on Different Methods and Approaches in Language Learning and Teaching. For this reason, I use my authentic visual communicative resources to guide people in achieving their language goals, always considering what needs to be updated to their needs. In most of our sessions we are going to be guided by a PowerPoint presentation with a variety of exercises (images, videos, music, anything that can help you advance with the language). Our notes will be sent to you and we are always going to have homework after every lesson. I am a bit of peacock when it refers to the resources I create for my Portuguese lessons. I have to say, I am quite proud of the work I do and of how much my students say they enjoy it. My students and I run sporadic direct and indirect course review and feedback to guarantee they are on the right path, with the right approach, advancing and enjoying the lessons.
