About Debora

I am an art historian graduate by the Complutense University of Madrid. I have been working as a teacher for more than 8 years, both as a private tutor and in schools. During the 2 years that I worked as a teacher in Schools, I taught three groups of 15, 22, and 25 children respectively, whose ages comprised between 5 to 11. Currently, I am working as a private Spanish teacher for adults and kids. I usually charge by person, but I do group discount (minimum 4 people).

About the lesson

I believe teaching can be entertaining, for that reason I prepare grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation games for my students. I think that when you have fun with what you are doing you learn quicker and the effectiveness of my method shows that. I prepare my lesson plans and assessment tools according to my students' skill level and individual needs, ensuring all students are developing by monitoring their progress. I am a goal-oriented tutor. In my classes, we will immediately focus on your objectives (GCSE, Levels A, University, 13+, IB, Adults ...), could be an exam, an assignment, a very specific task, or starting with a language from scratch. In each class we will work on the four main areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

The free first lesson with Debora allows you to get to know the tutor and discuss your needs and expectations.

Details

I usually charge per person however, I do have a group discount (minimum of 4 people). Lessons in person or at a student's house are a minimum of an hour and a half and for this I charge £40/hour. Online lessons are charged at £30/hour. Dependent on the commute I charge up to £8 with a minimum of £5 to cover travel costs. However, there will be no extra charge if I can easily walk there or if it’s within my local area.
