About Peter
I'm definitely not a typical maths teacher, and it's quite likely that once you've had a few lessons from me, maths will never feel the same!
The thing I am best at is helping you to see how school maths relates to your interests and goals, making learning at all levels more meaningful. You will thrive. The maths questions you are faced with will start to make sense.
I have also helped thousands of students through the pressure of exam years which needs a sharp focus and a systemized approach to get you confident at the key topics and questions.
How can I say this with confidence? Because I was a maths teacher in schools for 15 years, including leadership positions. I've pretty much seen it all when it comes to young people learning maths.
I have other experiences too which help me to help you connect maths to your life interests and to stretch your thinking. I left teaching to set up an online interactive learning company. I created learning programs that combine sport with school maths up to leaving cert for all levels in schools.
I then worked a few years in professional football, and with sports data software. I am also a semi-pro musician.
I have a maths degree, a master's, as well as my teaching qualification so I can teach all levels.

Your answers to these questions, as well as your current ability and confidence in maths, your preferred way to learn, and how long you've got till exams, will form the basis of my approach with you. From this, we will build out a plan that works for you.
As a qualified teacher, I've helped thousands of students aged 11 to 19 in my schools to succeed, and to start enjoying and understanding maths. I specialize in connecting curriculum maths to the real-world, like how maths is used by soccer clubs, how it is used to grow a business, and the maths in music.
I have 15 years teaching experience in schools and a strong track record getting students the grades they need in their exam years by focusing on the key topics and questions to learn.
