About Sagar

I've been playing drums since 2008, and over the last 13 years, I've had the experience of performing all across the country with a variety of artists. I've played more than 500 shows in the last 5 years with my band Knight Shades, The Voice Season 2 Finalist Madhur Dhir, The Stage Season 2 Top 10 Mananjay Prakash, Varnika Prakash, Porkjet, Pass The Pasta, The Forgotten Cure, Yes Man No, and various other artists.

I've been teaching drums for more than 7 years, and have taught students aged 4 years old, to adults at 65 years old. To me, there's no age limit to learning drums, and if you've ever had the curiosity or the passion to just try this instrument out, then I'm your guy. I'm very good with kids, having taught them at a music school for over two years, and rest assured, your child will be very comfortable and happy to be learning drums from me.

Online lessons, one on one lessons at my home, and one on one at the students home, all available.

I've taught at Music Guru Academy for over 2 years, where I had more than 60 students. I've also been teaching privately for over 6 years, and I have Grade 8 Certification from Trinity College, London. I've also been learning vocals at Delhi School of Music for 3 years, and have a Grade 6 certification from Trinity College, London, in the field of vocals.

I'm a student of the renowned Mr Manoj Mavely, and my teaching methods are a mix of what I've learnt from the great man, plus what I have learnt from various sources over the years, that includes Rock and Pop drumming, Brazilian, Afro Cuban, Jazz, Latin, and many other forms of music.

About the lesson

Classes are 1 hour each, one on one. Course material taught include Rock School curriculum, Trinity Rock and Pop curriculum, a mix of various other trusted source materials such as Charlie Willcoxon's Solo drum book, Understanding Rhythm, Syncopation, and various others.

Styles of drumming that I teach include rock, Pop, Jazz, Afro cuban, Metal, Brazilian and various other styles.

Beginner to Advanced, ages 5 years old to 70 (or above).

Sagar is teaching Drums to my 10 year old son. I am surprised the ease with which Sagar is training my kid . He started to teach him with practice pads and them he made him migrate to the drum kit. All this happened via online classes. Sagar understands his students well and is very sharp is catching the mistakes his students are make via online classes. He is down to earth person is always reachable over phone or whatsup to clear the doubts. He encourages and motivates his students. Overall I am very happy to have Sagar train my kid.
