About Maria
"Securing a 99+ ATAR provided the foundation for my entry into the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Queensland. I have spent 4 years teaching students who need rigorous academic support.
Working with adult learners returning to science allows me to see how different age groups process biological concepts. A-level students often struggle with the transition to higher level study where I provide the necessary bridge. "Sometimes the hardest part of learning biology is realizing that you do not actually understand an enzyme mechanism until you try to explain it out loud. I spend the first part of our time together identifying your specific gaps in knowledge.
We then move into a structured walkthrough of complex topics like lab report writing or microbiology. I focus on breaking down dense content into manageable pieces for every student.
