I have quite a bit of experience working with a variety of age ranges with a focus on Special Needs and English Language Learners. I aim to create a scaffold of support that helps my students improve their reading skills and confidence to gain independence through our lessons.

As a child I remember the deep frustrations of learning how the spelling of words in the English language are so inconsistent. For example, pronounce NO, NOW, KNOW, and KNOWLEDGE and you will find surprising vowel inconsistencies that can trip up those working on their fluency.
