About Jordan

My educational journey was not an entirely positive one. I went through school with an undiagnosed learning difficulty, which I only received support for at University. I was never the 'genius' kid, but through hard work and perseverance, I achieved a 1st class honour in Education Studies.

With the right support, anything is possible. I am now a Primary School Teacher, having been a Teaching Assistant for a number of years and a tutor for the past 2 years.

I am kind, fun and approachable in my tutoring - focusing on engagement and catering to the needs of each individual pupil. There is no pressure, if we need an extra-lesson on something, we can spend that extra lesson on that something - we decide what you learn together.

About the lesson

My lessons are catered to you, the tutee. My lessons are catered for the individual, ages between 7-11.

Each lesson will begin with a brain starter, usually a short creative writing activity, that lasts between 5 and 10 minutes. Then, we review the learning from the previous session, taking around 10 minutes. After this, we introduce new learning for the session. Depending on the needs of the pupil, this takes around 25-35 minutes. Then, there will be a chance of consolidate the learning in a fun and engaging way.

I’m all about learning through fun! I’m confident in what I do and my ability to make learning fun and engaging for all young people!
