About Joan
My name is Joanna George and I'm that teacher who shocked my school heads with my dedication to my students' success - even the students other teachers wrote off. That's because teaching is and will always be my calling. Joy and excellence flow when I teach. I have always noticed the spark in me to light up minds with understanding and teaching makes that possibility an endless one.
Apart from being behind the board, behind the computer, the desk or running phonics drills at the assembly ground, I have also worked in academic leadership positions as I've shared in my CV right from when I myself was still a student in high school.
My teaching philosophy is that every great mind must be lit up with the desire for excellent learning and that's what I deliver.

I assess my students to identify their best learning styles so that each lesson feels like I'm speaking to them in the language they understand, I also assess strengths and areas for improvement immediately.
I break down complex topics for my learners to grab easily and create a safe space for my learners to learn, ask questions, make mistakes and bounce back which boosts their confidence and sustains their steady academic progress.
I am known for inspiring my students to think independently and become innovative problem solvers and win every examination with apt and efficient study strategies.
