About Liao

Hello everyone, my name is Kacy.
I come from Changsha, Hunan, China — a city known for its spicy cuisine, vibrant entertainment culture, and rich academic heritage that dates back thousands of years.

I graduated from one of China’s top 50 comprehensive universities. During university, I worked as a writer for the literary society and also pursued long-term studies at Peking University and Beijing Film Academy.

I have a deep interest in both Eastern and Western philosophy and culture, and I enjoy reading and photography. My writing skills were highly appreciated by my classmates during university.

Over the past five years, I have focused on children’s education and child psychology. For the past two years, I have been working in the field of special education, providing one-on-one guidance for children with special needs and their families, as well as delivering public training courses. I have also volunteered to help special education organizations create promotional videos and written content for social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu and WeChat.

I have obtained the International Chinese Language Teacher Certificate, and I hope to help people who are interested in China not only learn the Chinese language but also better understand modern China and its 5,000-year cultural heritage.

About the lesson

My teaching approach combines interactive communication, cultural exploration, and personalized guidance. Inspired by Confucius’ philosophy of “teaching according to individual ability,” I adapt lessons to each student’s goals, learning style, and level. In my classes, students not only develop Chinese language skills such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing, but also gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and traditions. A typical lesson includes conversation practice, vocabulary building, cultural topics, and real-life communication activities. I believe a classroom is more than structured learning — it is a space for communication, confidence, and meaningful connection.
