About Cristiana
At the moment I am studying BA World Performance at East 15 Acting School and I work on my personal theatre and film projects in my free time. The experience and knowledge this course has given me until now, one year of studying acting at Arts University Bournemouth and several shows devised in my home town back in Romania have all helped me in finding my own voice and explore the world with fresh eyes so I can create personal art. Last year I taught my first creative writing workshop to 7 acting students; my main focus was to inspire and challenge them by talking about great artists of our past, about the meaning of doing art and how each of us has already a story that needs to be told.

I base my classes on the importance of finding your voice and not copying schemes that end up driving you crazy. I would like to give as an example the way I approach an essay. Firstly, I choose a topic that excites me and if none of them is not that thrilling as I expected, I mix it with everything I love. I would compare Vincent van Gogh with Stanislavski, Constantin Brâncuși with method acting and so on. I believe a written work should not be stressful and should not obey all the rules, but to have a strong opinion within the text and to reflect on the subject with personality.
