About Sean
Hello! I’m Sean, a working Software Developer and Computer Science Graduate who’s passionate about helping students gain a deep and practical understanding of computer science. I believe learning should be engaging, hands-on, and connected to real-world challenges. Whether you’re tackling algorithms, exploring machine learning, or even creating your first game.

I believe in the importance of building a strong foundational understanding and then applying that knowledge in practical scenarios. My approach is supportive and interactive, focusing on adapting to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
I currently tutor a junior team member at my day job each week and have also helped classmates with their computer science coursework back when I was at university. These experiences have helped me develop patience, clarity, and the ability to explain complex topics in a simple, relatable way.
I’m most confident tutoring university undergraduates at the 100–200 level, though I’m also comfortable teaching 300-level courses if I’ve taken them before. I’m flexible with lesson length, typically offering short 30-minute sessions for quick catch-ups or hour-long lessons for deeper discussions and problem-solving.
I’m also happy to help with projects when you’re stuck, whether it’s understanding requirements, debugging, or figuring out how to approach a problem logically.
Outside of work, I spend time learning game development, which helps me bring a creative and practical perspective to programming concepts.
