About Kurt
I believe with all my heart that acting, as a practice and an art form, is essential. It provides confidence, empathy and understanding to those who practice acting, and for those who only observe it. It shows a connectivity in the world that there are others out there with similar struggles, hopes, loves and heartbreaks. I’m grateful everyday that I get to share my love for acting and am honoured to see the growth and enjoyment from the humans I get to instruct.
With over 30 years of wide-ranging entertainment industry, experience, (commercial, television, single/multi-camera, film and live theatre), I am well-versed and prepared to help you improve your performance, confidence and creative potential.

I've developed a unique approach to acting, blending the rules of improvisation, method and reality-based theatre training and my 30 years of experience on set.
The goal is to unlock an actors ability to accept the reality of the script, embrace objective, and enhance performance for camera.
Lessons begin with fun, unscripted improvisation with an emphasis on expanding creative thought & connection to real emotions. The hope is to establish a well of grounded, real-world characters that the actor can dip into for any performance. Then we delve into script analysis, breaking down the scene and arc of character. And then we blend the practices, refining performance for camera presence.
I currently teach ages 8-18 and offer private coaching for adult actors of all experience levels.
