About Julia
I've worked with adults and children and have developed a happy fusion of Wordcraft and Wellbeing. I'm an enthusiastic writer and taught creative writing for 11 years to people with mental health issues. I've a genuine interest in the brain and how it works and recognise that how we write mirrors our general state of mind. Many people are wary or shy of expanding their imagination.....a gentle, compassion focused approach can help build new landscapes.

I will start by listening to your needs and then responding with ideas that inspire creativity. For example, with one student that may include some singing and improvisation - with another person it may be more tailoring a writing task around their interests. I'm confident with altering a lesson plan to meet needs or to change paths, so we can go with something interesting that you may bring along, and I'll always try and balance sessions with 'heady' and physical exercises. I like people to ask questions and encourage honesty and transparency.
