About Lamprini
Hi, I'm Lamprini! I am a qualified teacher and currently work as a Head of Design Technology, specialising in Food Technology and WJEC Level 1/2 Hospitality & Catering.
I have over 10 years of teaching experience across different subjects and age groups, and I hold a BSc (Hons) in Physical Education & Sport Science, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership & Administration and the NPQLTD qualification.
Before becoming a teacher, I was a professional athlete and represented Greece at national level in swimming for many years. This experience has shaped the way I approach teaching: I believe in setting high expectations, working towards clear goals and, most importantly, helping young people believe in what they are capable of achieving.
I genuinely love teaching Hospitality & Catering and seeing students grow in confidence throughout the course. I understand that every student learns differently, and I pride myself on building positive relationships and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them.
Whether a student is finding the course difficult or aiming for the highest grades, my goal is simple: to help them feel confident, supported and proud of their progress.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I currently teach WJEC Level 1/2 Hospitality & Catering and, as a Head of Design Technology, I have extensive experience supporting students with different abilities, learning needs and target grades.
At the beginning, we will identify the areas you feel least confident with and create a clear plan together. Lessons can focus on subject knowledge, revision, exam technique, command words, extended-answer questions or preparation for the knowledge and skills needed for the NEA.
I like my lessons to be interactive rather than simply talking through PowerPoints! We will use questioning, retrieval activities, real hospitality examples, exam-style questions and targeted feedback to help you understand not only the correct answer, but how to apply your knowledge effectively.
For students preparing for the Unit 1 exam, we can work through specific topics and then apply that knowledge to exam-style questions. I will help you recognise what different questions are asking, structure your answers and understand how to develop responses for the higher-mark questions.
Most importantly, there is no judgement in my lessons. If you don't understand something, we simply find another way of explaining it. My aim is for you to become more confident and independent, while helping you achieve the best result you are capable of.
