About Mpho
I am a patient, approachable, and highly motivated individual who enjoys helping others learn and achieve their goals. As a second-year Computer Science student at the University of the Witwatersrand, I have developed strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. I am friendly and easy to talk to, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and seeking assistance when they encounter difficulties. My lessons are designed to help Grade 11 and 12 Mathematics learners develop a deep understanding of concepts rather than simply memorising procedures. As a Computer Science student at the University of the Witwatersrand, I have a strong analytical and problem-solving background that I use to make complex mathematical concepts easier to understand.
I believe every learner can succeed in Mathematics with the right guidance, practice, and mindset. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. I begin by identifying areas of difficulty and then create a structured plan to strengthen understanding and build confidence.
A typical lesson includes concept explanations, worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I also focus on problem-solving techniques, common mistakes, and effective study strategies to help learners perform well in tests and examinations.
I am proficient in English and can adapt my teaching style to suit different learning preferences. My lessons are ideal for Grade 11 and 12 learners who want to improve their marks, prepare for examinations, strengthen their mathematical foundations, or gain confidence in the subject.
