About Ava
I am a Biology tutor with 4 years of experience and an MSc in Systems Biology. My teaching philosophy is holistic and interdisciplinary. Evolutionary biology is at the heart of my lessons. I emphasize natural selection, adaptation, and the emergence of new species. Fossil evidence helps students see evolution as a process across time. Comparative anatomy highlights common ancestry. Genetics provides the final layer of understanding. I work with anthropology students and curious learners exploring origins. My sessions are interactive and encourage curiosity. I connect evolutionary ideas to modern challenges and discoveries. Lessons are clear, engaging, and student-focused. I aim to build both confidence and independent thinking. Learning biology should be both rigorous and inspiring. Together, we’ll explore the grand story of life’s evolution.

My biology teaching method emphasizes evolution as the central theme of life sciences. I guide students through natural selection, adaptation, and speciation with clarity. Phylogenetics is introduced as a tool to trace life’s history. I rely on fossil records, genetic data, and comparative anatomy to anchor learning in evidence. My approach fosters critical thinking and problem-solving. Students are encouraged to ask questions and test their ideas. I make sessions interactive with visual aids and real-world examples. Applied learners, such as Food Chemists and Green Chemists, often find my guidance especially relevant. I help them see how biology connects with environmental and chemical sciences. Lessons are progressive, with each step building on the last. Confidence grows as knowledge deepens. My style combines patience with structure, making complex ideas manageable. I want every learner to feel capable of explaining life’s diversity. Biology, for me, is the grand narrative of evolution—and I bring students along to explore it.
