About Clara
As a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of learners, including neurodivergent students, English language learners (ELL/ESL), and students with diverse learning needs. I am currently an Assistant Principal, where I continue to support students, families, and teachers in helping every child reach their full potential.
I understand how difficult it can be to watch your child struggle with learning. I also understand how discouraging and frustrating it can feel for students when learning doesn't come easily. My goal is to help children rebuild their confidence by identifying the root of their learning challenges and providing targeted, evidence-based instruction.
Using the Science of Reading and proven teaching practices, I assess each student's strengths and areas for growth, then create personalized learning experiences that build the skills they need to succeed. More importantly, I strive to help students rediscover the joy of learning. When children experience success, they gain confidence, resilience, and the belief that they can achieve great things.
Whether your child needs support catching up, building foundational skills, or gaining confidence, I provide a patient, encouraging, and supportive environment where every learner feels capable, valued, and successful.

My lessons are engaging, well-paced, and grounded in current educational research. I begin by using ongoing assessment to identify each student's strengths, learning gaps, and individual needs. Every lesson is personalized using materials selected to match the student's interests, learning style, and goals, helping to increase motivation and engagement. I explicitly teach executive functioning, organization, study skills, and effective learning strategies alongside academic content so students develop the confidence and independence to succeed. My goal is not only to improve academic achievement but to equip students with the skills, habits, and mindset needed to become resilient, self-directed, lifelong learners.
