Hello, My name is ZoeZhou , a Chinese language teacher. I hold a Mandarin secondary-level A certificate, ensuring a high standard in my language teaching.
I hvae 5 years of experience in teaching Chinese language and literature, I aim to inspire students' interest in Chinese literature, guiding them to appreciate the beauty of ancient poetry and prose while improving their language skills. I can help students improve their Mandarin proficiency, understand the logic of the Chinese language, and acquire skills for daily communication. Additionally, I can assist them in gaining insights into Chinese culture and traditions, allowing them to appreciate the charm of the Chinese language.
The teaching materials include PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, and relevant classroom exercises.
The teaching plan consists of five stages, where stages 1-3 focus on foundational learning, and stages 4-5 cover advanced lesson. Here is an overview:
-Pinyin and Pronunciation:
Learn correct pronunciation and intonation of Chinese characters, understand the meanings of words and phrases. Pinyin is the fundamental stage of Chinese learning, providing a solid foundation for oral practice.
-Spoken Language:
Study vocabulary and sentence structures in daily Chinese conversation. This stage aids in accurate usage of vocabulary and sentences, as well as understanding the grammatical habits and usage of Chinese sentences.
-Conversation Skills:
Learn basic dialogues for life, work, and various scenarios, helping students express themselves clearly and accurately in Chinese conversations. Conversations are crucial for mastering basic vocabulary, grammar, and expressive abilities, serving as practice for oral communication.
-Reading:
Understand the logic of the Chinese language and enhance reading skills. This stage is suitable for students with a basic understanding of Chinese. After improving reading ability, students can proficiently use Chinese in conversations and writing.
-Writing:
Writing is the most challenging yet essential aspect of language learning. It strengthen language thinking and logic, consolidates vocabulary, and grammar knowledge，which studied from the foundational stages.Learing writing significantly improves comprehension and organizational skills in Chinese. Writing also offers a unique learning experience, allowing students to appreciate the charm of the Chinese language beyond daily communication and sentence construction exercises.
