About Irene elena
My name is Irene and I am a 24-year-old Italian girl. I have a degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation from the University of Milan and I am currently enrolled in the Master's degree at the University of Bologna in Languages and Literature. I am now spending a year abroad at the University of Essex, in Colchester, where I am studying translation from Italian into English and vice versa, as well as French and Spanish. I am also working as an Italian assistant at the University of Essex to help foreign students learn this beautiful language. I have some experience in language teaching, having taught French in a high school in Italy and also worked as an Italian assistant in France. I also had an experience as an Au Pair in Spain where I taught English to children from 3 to 6 years old so I think I have a flexible teaching method, which can be adapted to the specific needs of the learner.

My approach as a tutor is based on my experience in teaching languages, both Italian and French, which I gained after graduating in Languages at the University of Milan. My lessons last from an hour to an hour and a half depending on the level of Italian you have and the needs of the learner. My method involves an intensive use of Italian in order to accustom the student to oral comprehension. The activities carried out change according to the student's objective and can be decided together during the first lesson. Although grammar is also important, I tend to give priority to other aspects of the language such as reading and listening comprehension, the acquisition of new vocabulary and oral production.My lessons are aimed at Italian language learners of all levels, from beginners to experts.
