About Alice

Working with students of different ages, levels and needs has brought me the clarity that there is no ideal method that works for all students. It is necessary to find the form that best suits each specific case and this requires a little more work, as well as student feedback. It is clear that there is effort involved in everything that we set out to learn, but at the same time it is necessary to feel joy when studying. You have to have fun to learn better and faster. That is why I look for the interests of my students from the beginning: If they like to read, listen to music, podcasts, games or any interest that we can use to integrate English in that activity. I strongly reinforce the importance of using English outside class hours.
Thus, classes follow the methodology to be defined together with the student, experimenting with what best suits their needs (textbook, audiovisual content, reading and discussion of texts, or even personalized classes, learning verification tests, whatever works best!) At the same time, the classes give a parameter for the learning pace, direction, correction and control of assimilated content, so that we can have a measure of how much the student is evolving.

About the lesson

Work experience: I have been teaching english since 2015, both privately and in the classroom, for adults, teenagers and children. I have experience with conversation classes, exam preparation, as well as regular classes, from beginner to advanced.

My background: My personal experience with learning English was very natural. To be honest, I learned almost nothing in the classroom. It all happened through my leisure, needing English to understand a song, series, game or book, that I could only find in English at that time. It was not planned. When I realized, I already had enough vocabulary to talk, read, write and travel. With that I spent a year studying in Australia, where I studied architecture at the University of Sydney.
I always say that everyone has their own way of learning. That was mine, but yours may be different. I have had a student who didn't even have a leisure time where he could integrate English! So I say: Let's find your way! I'm here to help you and I want to see you speaking English with confidence!
