About Diksha
I'm a mom of a five year old. Teaching him languages has been one of the biggest joys of my life. I have tremendous patience when it comes to teaching and I understand instinctively that making mistakes is not only normal but also beneficial for a learner.
Things that are not fun, rarely stick and there is no growth without a challenge. So, my lessons are light with just the right amount of challenge to keep things moving along.
I'm deeply interested in the science of how the human brain learns and retains languages. So I keep myself abreast with the latest methods and techniques of language learning and use them with all my students.
I have various interests and finding the right topic of conversation is never a problem. I'm also trained in official English as I have experience of working in the Government sector.

My classes are best suited for absolute beginners to intermediate English speakers. I can teach you English even if you don't speak one proper sentence in the language yet.
I believe language is best absorbed rather than memorized. Rather than focus on grammar or tenses first, I like my students to develop a working knowledge of what the language sounds like.
I think the most natural way of learning a language is the way of children i.e by mimicking, having fun with words and making plenty of mistakes. This is how I like to progress:
1. Develop a good vocabulary base by rote learning the most frequently used words first. Do you know that just about 100 words make more than 50% of a language.
2. Learn a few verbs to put that vocabulary base into action!
3. Have fun mixing and matching verbs with nouns, making sentences and watch your confidence soar. Progress will come before perfection.
