About Cristina

I have been giving private classes to children and adults for 4 years. They have obtained confidence and fluency in speaking, presenting themselves for interviews and making presentations and as support in the school. I adapt the classes to the needs of each student and try to teach the classes creatively and create a relaxed atmosphere.

About the lesson

MY PARTICULAR CLASSES 1. YOU HAVE TO BE CLEAR WHY YOU ARE DOING IT It may seem obvious, but if you do not have a good reason to learn another language, it is very likely that, in the long run, you will run out of motivation. 2. DIVE YOURSELF You have already made the promise, you have committed yourself. The important thing is that you practice each and every day. 3. FIND YOUR PARTNER (Yo!) Having a partner will push you to keep trying a little longer and stay motivated. 4. KEEP IT RELEVANT If your main goal is to have a conversation, it is more unlikely that you will get lost in textbooks and manuals. Talking with people will make the learning process relevant to you. 5. DIVIÉRTETE Use your new language in any creative way. I like to combine it with walking in the city (Walk and talk) as an exercise in which you use the language differently and closer to your reality. 6. ACT AS A CHILD Attitudes of high self-awareness (in the sense of social status), the desire to play in another language and the willingness to make mistakes. 7. COME OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE Losing your fear of making mistakes means being prepared to put yourself in potentially embarrassing situations. 8. LISTEN The more you listen to the language, the more familiar it becomes and the easier it will be for you to speak it. For me, the best way to learn to master that sound was to hear it constantly, listening to it, trying to visualize it or imagine how it is supposed to be pronounced, since for each sound there is a specific part of the mouth or throat that needs to be use. 9. LOOK AT OTHERS SPEAKING Different languages demand different things from your tongue, lips and throat. The pronunciation is both physical and mental.
