About Amie
Singing often feels like a puzzle that requires both physical awareness and artistic intuition to solve correctly. I have taught 41 students since earning my Bachelor of Music from the Australian Institute of Music.
My lessons are designed for those looking to expand their range through sight singing and precise rhythm exercises. I emphasize vocal health because maintaining your instrument is essential for longevity in this field.
Genre styling across pop, classical, and musical theater allows for versatile performance options. Harmony singing and tone resonance are areas I address with a detail-oriented focus.
I find that building a strong technical base supports the most creative choices. It is rewarding to see how students grow once they understand their own mechanics. My background helps me guide singers through the nuances of belting and consistent phrasing.

Starting with a simple vocal assessment often feels a bit nerve-wracking for new singers. I confess that my initial focus is always on your comfort and long-term vocal health. We examine your current range while integrating specific drills for resonance and tone production. Developing your ability to sight sing and master complex rhythms happens incrementally.
My degree from the Australian Institute of Music informs how I break down these technical challenges. You will learn how to approach pop or classical pieces with professional phrasing techniques.
Belting requires a calm, supportive environment so that you do not strain your cords. Harmony singing is also integrated to broaden your musical understanding. Applying these skills in real time is genuinely the most enjoyable part of our work.
