About Phoebe

I genuinely enjoy tutoring and helping students reach the point where something they previously struggled with finally clicks. I’m very down-to-earth and approachable, and I aim to create a patient, relaxed and fun environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I like to get to know each student and adapt my approach to their personality and learning style. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable and something students don’t dread, while still keeping sessions productive and focused on helping them achieve their goals.

About the lesson

I tailor my lessons to each student, focusing on the areas they find most challenging rather than using the same approach for everyone. I like lessons to be interactive, using practice questions, worked examples and discussion to build understanding and confidence. For exam students, I also place a strong focus on exam technique, mark schemes and applying knowledge to unfamiliar questions.

Lessons are typically one hour, although I can offer longer sessions depending on the student’s needs.

I am currently studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liverpool and achieved A*AA at A-level in Biology, Psychology and Chemistry, alongside grades 8–9 across my GCSEs. I have around 1.5 years of tutoring experience, teaching students one-to-one online across a range of subjects and abilities.

I offer tuition for GCSE students across Maths, English and a range of academic subjects, as well as A-level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.

My lessons are suitable for students who want to improve their grades, prepare for exams, fill gaps in their knowledge or simply become more confident in a subject.
