About Jasmine

I’ve been a veterinarian for over 8 years. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been helping students to learn and follow their passions. Whether it’s a student who feels they are struggling, or a student with high aspirations, I love guiding them towards achieving their goals. It’s incredibly rewarding to see students’ faces light up when a concept they’ve been struggling with finally “clicks”. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading and traveling. I’ve worked as a veterinarian in both Australia and the UK, and helped a range of students from different countries and backgrounds.

About the lesson

Lessons for high school and university students, tailored to their strengths and area(s) they would like to improve. Building on pre-existing strengths to help build confidence and help students achieve their goals.

I have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor of Science, both from the University of Melbourne. During my studies, I tutored students in Maths and Biology. I have experience with both small group lessons and private lessons.

Lessons are typically one hour, with flexibility for longer lessons during exam periods / before SACs.
During the first lesson, we have a detailed discussion about different concepts / areas the student has been studying, and where they think they may need improvement. We then work together to set goals and create a plan for how these will be achieved.

It can be very helpful to set small, achievable goals for each lesson, so that confidence and enthusiasm are maintained. This helps students feel a sense of accomplishment and an eagerness to keep learning!
