About Adelaide
Hi! My name is Adelaide and I am studying nursing at the University of Sydney. I love Biology and English and I am keen to help out in any way I can with your studies. When I was in years 11 and 12 I had a fabulous tutor who was a massive support to me during the HSC, and so, I wish to do the same for other students! In the HSC I studied economics, biology, ext science, advanced English/maths and visual arts, but, I have a real passion for science. I hope that I can help you to become more confident and reach your study goals!!

Hi! I'm Adelaide, and I graduated in 2023 with an ATAR of 89.15. I studied Visual Art, Biology, Extension Science, advanced English/ maths and Economics, as well as year 11 Ancient History. I came first in course Science Extension and first in course Visual Arts in my year 12 cohort, and achieved a high band 6 in Science Extension. I am happy to tutor any of these subjects, and lessons will typically be an hour in length.
For year 11 or 12 HSC Biology we will work through each of the syllabus dot points, attempting HSC practice questions and refining extended responses. I am more the happy to mark and give feedback outside of class time. Closser to the exam we will also revise effective exam technique.
For year 12 Science extension will look similar, however with a focus on the major scientific report. In each lesson, we will focus on a specific section of the report. Throughout the lessons not only will I teach you how to write a fabulous report (I achieved a band 6 for my scientific report in 2023 - as well as a band 6 overall), but we will also cover essential syllabus content related to the course, and attempt practice questions.
For year 7-10 English we will work through skills such as essay writing, creative writing, short response, and textual analysis. Each week we will work on some analysis of the texts being taught in class, practice some responses and sharpen skills that will be assessed in class.
