About Samarrah
I am a student at the University of Arizona studying Spanish Interpretation and Translation and Accounting. I grew up speaking Spanish and attended a bilingual elementary school where I worked as an after-school tutor and Teaching Assistant for Spanish Summer Camp during high school. I gained a lot of experience teaching Spanish, specifically to beginners. I have always had a passion for language instruction and am currently working on my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate and working as a private Spanish tutor.

My tutoring style for students new to
Spanish is to explore how reading, listening to songs, watching videos, comparing grammar structures, and playing fun vocabulary games can help expand students understanding of the language and encourage fluency. For intermediate students, I like to focus more on the conversational elements. This is typically one of the most difficult things for language learners because conversational skills require critical thinking and language production in real-time.
