About Yari

I am a 22-year-old student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, majoring in Psychology and Spanish. I immigrated from the Dominican Republic at the age of 7, relocating to the United States with my family. As a self-driven, compassionate, and helpful person, I've consistently demonstrated my ability to assist others. While growing up, I became the go-to person for adults, from translating at medical appointments to reading letters for my grandmother. I've retained a strong connection to my roots and the Spanish language, and I'm excited to share the beauty of my native language with others.

¡Hola Students!

I'm a native Spanish speaker who grew up in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States at the age of 7. Currently, I'm pursuing a major in psychology with a minor in Spanish at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Get ready for a class that's not only informative but also loads of fun! We'll dive into Spanish with songs, engaging conversations, and I'll be your Spanish-speaking buddy. My Spanish is a mix of the elegant Spain Spanish and the lively Dominican Spanish, making the learning experience super exciting and enjoyable.
