About Mackenzie
My name is Mackenzie, and I am a recent graduate from the University of Waterloo's Biomedical Engineering Program. I specialized in Sports Engineering and completed an option in computing. I have always loved physics, as the field is vast and applicable to nearly everything. Physics is always happening around you!
I am currently taking a gap year between my undergrad and graduate studies, working in Whistler, Canada. I plan to pursue a Sports Engineering Master's degree in September 2027. In my undergrad, I've taken numerous physics classes: statics, dynamics, mechanics of deformable solids, materials, fluid mechanics, biomechanics, physics of medical imaging, and sports engineering. I have diverse physics knowledge from my experiences at Waterloo.
I am available to chat about my engineering experiences from co-op placements, research, engineering extracurriculars, etc. If you are thinking about pursuing engineering, I am someone you want to talk to!

My focus is to first assess the previous knowledge of the student, and addressing gaps. In physics, it's all about nailing the basics before you can tackle more complex concepts. This is my first priority as having a strong foundation of the core concepts is essential for success.
What sets me apart from other tutors is the time I spend understanding the different needs and learning styles of each student. Learning is not a one box fits all, and individual tailoring is required for optimal success of each student.
I enjoy communicating and demonstrating real-world examples of physics concepts, as I have found this leads to a better understanding of concepts.
My lessons are for any level of student in middle school to grade 12.
