As a mature student having not studied for years being faced with having to produce degree level academic writing was hugely daunting. Diane was pivotal to my success in achieving my degree. Diane seemed to have an instinctive insight into what l needed. Full of enthusiasm and ideas, at times l would waste precious time going down an incorrect path. Initially l needed to focus on the basics ensuring l was answering the actual question and offering the examiners what they wanted. In time once l had mastered such skills as layout, flow and of course referencing l became a critical thinker and writer. Diane helped me to focus my ideas and channel my views in order to create analytical assignments.
