About Xinming
I am a Mathematics student at the University of Toronto with a strong interest in helping students understand math in a clear and approachable way.
I am patient, responsible, and comfortable explaining problems step by step. I understand that students learn at different speeds, so I try to adapt my explanations to each student’s needs and encourage them to ask questions whenever something is unclear.
Although I am new to formal tutoring, my academic background has given me a solid foundation in mathematics, and I am committed to preparing carefully for each lesson. My goal is to help students improve their understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills in a supportive learning environment.

My lessons are designed for students in Grades 7–10 who need support with math concepts, homework, test preparation, or building confidence.
I explain each topic step by step and adjust the pace based on the student’s current level. During lessons, we can review class material, work through practice problems, identify areas of difficulty, and develop more effective problem-solving habits.
I aim to create a patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My lessons focus on understanding the reasoning behind each step rather than simply memorizing formulas.
Topics may include algebra, linear relations, functions, geometry, and general math review.
