About David

I am a professional software developer with 5+ years of industry experience working with a wide range of programming languages and technologies. I’ve built web applications, backend systems, desktop tools, mobile apps, and games, and I stay up to date with modern and emerging technologies.

I have been tutoring students for several years — from complete beginners to advanced learners — and I focus on building real understanding rather than rote memorization. I’ve helped high school, university, and adult students improve grades, gain confidence, complete assignments, and develop strong programming foundations.

I teach Python, JavaScript (React, Vue, Node.js), HTML, CSS, Java, and C, and I tailor every lesson to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style.

Aidan is strong with his Java fundamentals, together we worked through advance topics such as sockets, server-clients system, and GUI development with Javafx and Swing. I believe Aidan will do very well, when he gives himself more time to work through understanding the great deal of requirements.

When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
Roughly ten years ago, I ventured into the world of computer science. My initial interest in this field was fueled by my natural inclination towards logical thinking and my love for creativity and innovation. It seemed like a perfect fit for my personality. As I continued to explore this subject, I discovered a deep satisfaction in building applications and solving complex problems. Additionally, my collaborations with highly skilled individuals significantly contributed to my growth and where I find myself today in this field.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
In the field of Computer Science and Software Development, there's a constant flow of new concepts and technologies to explore. I'm genuinely enthusiastic about enhancing my skills and capabilities and finding ways to contribute to the ever-changing world of software.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
I find fulfillment in providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and assisting students with challenges I've encountered myself. It's rewarding to witness and be part of someone's growth. My main goal is to ensure students understand the material while providing helpful suggestions for improvement.

I draw inspiration from the mentors who have played a crucial role in my growth and development in my current field. From high school teachers to university professors, teacher assistants, online instructors, coworkers, and my parents, they have all been instrumental in shaping my character and fostering a deep commitment to learning throughout my journey.

In my view, the key to success lies in maintaining patience when pursuing something that genuinely interests you. It's essential to persevere through challenging times. There are always opportunities to broaden your understanding by listening to and considering alternative perspectives.
