About Gemma
I am an illustration student starting in Brighton in 2021, after completing my foundation year this year and taking a year out to work. I am very skilled at essay writing for grades, achieving very high A-Level results (A*A*B) and the highest GCSE results my school had ever recorded.
I have helped quite a few friends and their younger siblings with essay construction as favours, and I have been told many times by parents that I should find work in tutoring.
I would like to offer my service to any students having trouble with getting their ideas onto paper, as the skill of essay writing is not taught in schools and students are (often wrongly) expected to understand it as they progress.

My teaching method is to work with a student using the content they have learned in their respective classes. I have conversations with them to ascertain their level of writing, and to explain how to format their essay in relation to the question.
This might include how to make points that clearly reflect the question, formatting arguments and writing critically at more advanced levels. These are skills that are directly marked at both GCSE and A Level, and I have helped multiple students that know the content and score low marks simply because it is formatted unclearly.
