About Lisanne
I studied biology at the University of Amsterdam and am currently doing a master degree in environmental sciences. In addition to studying, I gave a lot of tutoring in biology and provided homework support. This makes me an experienced tutor at different levels. I have also helped exam students successfully in passing the biology exam.

In my lessons I not only teach the student the professional knowledge of biology, but also to trust their own abilities. I go through the material and explain a lot, but I also guide students to solve difficult questions themselves. After all, they have to do that on a test as well. When a student does not know the answer right away, I ask guiding questions such as: What does this concept mean again? Do you remember how this process worked? If the student has forgotten it, we look it up in the lesson material together and go through it again. Then we go back to the question and solve it together. This has proven to be effective, because it gives a lot of self-confidence if a student can solve it themselves and this also builds the ability to connect knowledge. That way you really get to understand the course.

Details
Face to face lessons are 15 euros per hour, online tutoring is 12 euros per hour. The frequency of the lessons depends on the student and their needs. Some may want frequent 1 hour lessons each week over a longer period, while others may need many lessons in a short period to get ready for an upcoming test.
