About Ilaria
Hi! I'm Ilaria, a recent graduate of the University of Oxford with a degree in English and Spanish. I have always been passionate about languages and literature, and I enjoy helping students discover the confidence and skills to succeed in these subjects. I am an experienced teacher, having spent my year abroad placement working in a school in Mexico City where I learnt how to make lessons engaging and accessible for students of all ages. I also have many hours of informal tuition experience, with one of my mentees recently gaining a place to study Modern Languages at Oxford. My goal is not only to help students achieve excellent results, but also to encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and a genuine enjoyment of learning as these are all qualities that top universities, like Oxbridge, actively look for in their applicants.

I offer hour-long tuition sessions in a range of GCSE and A-Level subjects, as well as mentoring and guidance through the Oxbridge application process, including personal statement help, ELAT/MLAT preparation, and mock interview practice. My lessons have a strong exam technique focus to help you achieve your desired grades. I achieved a 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-Level so I am confident I can help you get there too!
