About Imisi
I am a second-year Music student at university, studying for a BA Honours in Music, Performance and Production. Aside from a lifetime of singing, performing in school, I have years of experience in my speciality of singing: from singing in church and school choirs, performing at the Arts Depot, to studying and receiving a certificate in 'Singing' from the Sylvia Young Theatre School in July 2019. I have since performed professionally as a vocalist and am set to perform at Streatham Space Project's 'VocalsAndVerses'; one of South London's most well-known performing arts platforms for upcoming spoken word artists, poets, and performers.

My teaching methodology is a combination of person based (the individuality of each student), directing, delegating and leading by example: through having the opportunity to be a practitioner in a university provided placement, I learned that my style of teaching is more effective when I lead by example and physically demonstrate what is asked of the students. It helps in reassuring the capability of completing the task, as well as encouraging the students of their ability to do the task. Ultimately I believe my encouraging, upbeat and passionate characteristics reflect positively on my potential students.
In terms of vocal teaching, my singing style is founded on (but not exclusive to) Gospel, RnB, Jazz and Pop
