About Ruby
I taught regular lessons for two GCSE students during my gap year, from which they benefited greatly. My lessons were tailored to the students needs and fun (at least I liked to think so)! I studied A Level English Literature and achieved an A grade.

I am happy to help GCSE students with their English Literature and English Language exams. My technique involves a lot of writing practice because I truly believe practice makes perfect when it comes to English literature and language. I like to tailor my lessons to what the student is struggling with or perhaps has not covered sufficiently in school. I try to keep my students engaged throughout the lesson so we can reach full potential. I believe developing good relationships between myself and my students is key to this process; I like to involve a lot of discussion in my lessons because this provokes idea and thought and is a key skill especially if the student wishes to continue English Literature post GCSE, therefore my students need to feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and opinions with me.
